I think so.Only God can bless,not the persons command,and especially not after a person releases snot.I think its a stupid Habit.Who agrees?

Because back a few hundred or thousands of years ago,(I don’t remember the time period) people used to die from sneezing, so after they sneezed someone said "bless you" for having survived.

There is different folklore about this, and no definitive answer about the origin. I’ve heard that the belief is that the spirit is sneezed out of the body and vulnerable to evil spirits, so we say God bless you to protect it before it goes back. Another story I heard that I like better is that the person is sneezing out an evil spirit and you are blessing the person before it has a chance to get back in.
