If you really want to meet some smart people then you owe it to yourself to visit the corporate offices of one of the major airlines. These people have to be geniuses because they were able to figure out that if a certain amount of baggage was added to a plane that the weight would cause a certain amount of fuel to burn off more quickly thereby requiring more fuel. All this means is that now they have hard numbers to justify raising our ticket prices. The only downside to this job is that you sit in a cubicle all day and rarely get any exercise.
