Swing mast and very narrow aisle trucks

These types of forklift truck are a variation on the standard fork lift. A swing mast truck is similar to a counterbalance except that it can swivel the mast or the vertical fork rails across to one side. Turret trucks are similar to order pickers in that the operator goes up except that they also swivel round but usually only to either side. Very narrow aisle trucks are designed to work in very narrow spaces. Because of this they typically also work with some type of guidance system which can be either optical or using rails or wires. Proper forklift training is essential for the operation of these types of forklift trucks.
