How would people charge their glasses in Britain in the Great War?
12.October, 2009
Would it be with a ‘cheers’, ‘chin-chin’, ’salud’, ‘health’, ‘oozy wawa’?
Anyone know?
They would do it just as you have listed there. Most people would at sometime use any of these. Salud was not in vague in Britain then as was not oozy wawa.
I’m NOT religious in anyway, so I actually find it offensive. You have to understand that I grew up in Mexico and when someone sneezes, no one says "Bless You" in Spanish; People say, "Salud" which means, "Health". What about when someone sneezes? I can’t tell them "Bless You" either. What do YOU think?
Well i would say "Thank you." Because the term "bless you" comes from, the old belief that as you sneeze your heart stops briefly, and people say "god bless you" or "bless you" as a way to show blessing for your health.
So either way Salud or Bless you it’s just nice to say, "Thank you"
will medicaid cover reconstructive surgery after a mastectomy?

My mom has precancer and she is going to have a mastectomy done. she is in the process of getting medicaid(hopefully it goes through) but for now she has some type of insurance called Promesa Salud and i wanted to kno if promesa salud or medicaid will cover for reconstructive surgery after her mastectomy
Yes
…but this can be tricky. It is a much more complicated question than you might realize. Medicaid is run by individual states, so the rules can change from state to state. Medicare is run by the Federal government and is a bit more streamline.
Contrary to what many people believe, post-mastectomy breast reconstruction is NOT considered purely cosmetic and is therefore covered by most insurance plans and Medicaid plans. That should be easy…but not so fast.
Chances are your mother will have the mastectomy by a general surgeon, or perhaps a breast specialist who accept Medicaid as payment. Finding a surgeon to take off a breast with Medicaid/Medicare is pretty easy. Finding a surgeon that accepts Medicaid to reconstruct a breast is not as easy.
There simply aren’t many plastic surgeons who accept Medicaid, it is just the nature of their business. Furthermore, contrary to what many people think, it is quite rare that both operations take place at the same time (even though it would be a little more efficient if that were the case), so often you are dealing with added expense for a second operation.
If it is important to your mother, you really need to do a good job researching this. Make sure that your surgeons understand what your goals are and try to figure out what your options are based on where you live. Ideally you would have a breast surgeon who routinely works with plastic surgeon (perhaps a single group of docs) who both operate at the same place. This way both surgeons are involved from the start and can come-up with a good plan long before your mom has the surgery.
Good luck.

Early 1980’s, Nutrasweet, women of childbearing age drinking diet coke like water. Link to Autism?

I am not a medical researcher but am an informed citizen, is this possibility being looked at? The link below is long but worth the time to educate yourself. Any thoughts appreciated, thanks.

Actually, I hear it kills nerve cells and basically stores up in the brain, attracting pathogens to reside there. These pathogens are being rid to recover children from autism. I also read that they were never going to allow it to be sold to people due to mice/rats dying in their experiments, but a "political figure" got involved and got it passed. I guess its all about the money. Frankly, I have learned that there is just way too many things being allowed on the market that are detrimental to our health, and if you google, you will learn what they are, why they are allowed, and a whole bunch of information that will shock you to your bones. We no longer consume toxins like that.

Is this sentence grammatically correct in Spanish?
01.October, 2009
"Estamos comprometidos a mejorar la salud por todos los Floridianos!"
We are commited to improve the health of all Floridians! - is that right?
What is really confusing me is the proper word for committed in this sentence, would it be comprometer or cometer???? Or simply prometer?
"Estamos comprometidos a mejorar la salud de todos los Floridianos"
I have some doubt of Floridianos, the correct word is Floridanos.
Your choice of words is ok, these are their definitions:
comprometer - pledge, acquire a compromise
cometer - commit usually a crime
prometer - promise
